The Legacy Bridges CISCO Academy is using the CISCO Learning Management System (LMS) to engage with students in person teaching and learning as well as remote learning. CISCO is a global resource with the best-in-class learning curriculum, platform, and resources. Using the CISCO resources allows for personalized instruction for students in each cohort.
Legacy Bridges CISCO Academy will optimize the student experience by exposing students to STEM Careers and Entrepreneurship using State-of-the-Art technology and participation in IoT Hackathon to solve real-world problems that lead to a certificate of completion and an opportunity to acquire industry-recognized certifications. Students will begin with the “Getting Connected” course which will allow students to demonstrate and build the skills required to navigate our digital world. Having a better understanding of the Internet, computers, and social media can be a big help in acquiring digital skills. And, once you have these skills there are many more possibilities opened to you as far as career advancement. Learn how to use a computer, connect devices, and access search, email, and social media. Enjoy course content that is very user-friendly and interactive with lots of illustrations! No previous knowledge is needed for this introductory course. Students will have the opportunity to select a STEM Pathway after successfully completing the second course, “Entrepreneurship”. This course will share the skills, habits, and insights most needed to launch and grow a successful technology business. And, best of all, each of the eight-hour-long modules includes input directly from a notable technopreneur.
